Stud Health Technol Inform . 2026;336 :1797-1798

Résumé

INTRODUCTION: Digital mental-health tools increasingly enable culturally grounded mindfulness approaches. Sukunn is an Arab-Islamic mindfulness application designed to align mobile well-being practices with Islamic spiritual psychology.METHODS: The framework integrates muraqabah (self-awareness), dhikr (divine remembrance), and tafakkur (reflective contemplation) through guided practices, Qur'anic affirmations, and reflective journaling. The design is informed by a God-conscious (taqwā) model derived from Prophetic Medicine and Sufi contemplative traditions, while maintaining ethical and cognitive principles compatible with contemporary mindfulness design.RESULTS: Post-deployment platform analytics indicate stable functionality and sustained user engagement across multiple regions, suggesting feasibility and acceptability of culturally grounded digital mindfulness practices.CONCLUSION: Sukunn illustrates how faith-informed contemplative concepts can be operationalized within mobile health systems, offering a design-oriented model for culturally coherent digital mindfulness applications.
