Trans R Soc Trop Med Hyg . 1981;75 (6) :766-70

Résumé

Although the Bambara of Mali are patrineal and patrilocal, women play important roles in the traditional healing system. These roles extend from the home, where women are often the household authorities on herbal remedies, to practitioner level as herbalists and to highly organized women's societies which focus on disease prevention and cure.
